COME WORSHIP AT
North M Street Church of Christ
in Tulare, California
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Bible-Based
The Bible is the only guide for members and Jesus Christ is the figurehead of the church. Salvation is a gift from God through Jesus Christ’s atoning work.

Communion
Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is observed every Sunday. This practice follows the pattern established by the early church as recorded in Acts 20:7.

Acapella Music
Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs are offered worshipfully to God in congregational singing. Musical instruments are not used in worship and there is no separate choir.

Who are the Churches of Christ?
The Churches of Christ are a group of non-denominational Christian churches that follow the New Testament and practice baptism by immersion.
The Churches of Christ seek to unify all Christians in a single body based on the New Testament. Each local church is autonomous and self-governing.
Bible Study
Bible study is the practice of reading, interpreting, and applying the Bible. It’s a personal or communal practice for disciples of Jesus, that is essential in knowing God and how to help do His work in the world within families, neighborhoods, at work and in school.
Baptism
Full-immersion baptism is a Christian ceremony that involves the use of water to symbolize the washing away of sins and the beginning of a new life in Christ. It is also a way to symbolically identify with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
Fellowship
Fellowship is gathering with other members. The word “fellowship” comes from the Greek word koinonia, which means “holding something in common”. Fellowship helps Christians persevere in their faith by providing mutual support and encouragement.
